It is a four star hotel which is situated in the north of the Michigan avenue. The total number of the rooms inside the hotel is seven hundred and fifty one, which are spacious and airy giving freshness to the residents of these rooms. The hotel comes from the chain of Westin hotels.

NBC Tower is a famous local television channel in United States and has its offshoots in all the major cities and state of US. One such tower is located in the north of Chicago as well. The tower is located in the vicinity of the Streeterville neighbourhood.  The basic purpose of this tower was to hold the offices and house the studios of NBC. The stone for this beautiful tower was laid in late 1987 and was completed in 1989.

One of the most beautiful park of the Chicago city is the Portage Park. It has a total area of abut 36 acres. The portage park has many recreational activities like tennis courts, basket ball courts etc.  It has about 6 tennis courts, 2 playgrounds; in line skating slab is also present for skaters, path for bicycling, five fields of baseball, and two soccer fields and has got two field houses.  Portage Park also has a gymnasium and other cultural arts buildings.  There is an Olympic size pool in the park too; there is a large deck for sun bathing.

For kids it has interactive water play area. Future plans for the Portage Park includes a 6500 square foot senior centre with in the premises of the park. It has a special facility for swimmers where they can enjoy the facility of heated pools. In 1972 the Park hosted the Olympic swimming trials and swimmers who came for trails in the park's pool set new world records. In 1998 the pool area was totally rehabilitated and the  water  interactive play area was constructed for the children. The park also cnsists of a goldfish pond were there are a large number of goldfish present. The depth of the pond is kept substantial to support the marine life present in the pond in winter season.

The Northwestern University has got campuses in downtown Chicago and in Evanston. The Northwestern University is a private institute that provides professional and undergraduate degrees. This university is further divided into eleven other colleges and schools. Some of its schools like Feinberg School of Medicine, School of Law, School of Communication and Kellogg School of Management are the top ranked institutes. The totla number of undergraduate enrollment is around 7800 and that of grtaduate is around 6300.

The Northwestren University was founded by Methodists in 1851, one of them was John Evans, on whose name Evanstons was made. The first buidling of this university was constructed in 1869, in 1920s they constructed buildings for medicine, business and law. Originally the institue had black and gold color but it wsa replaced by purple color in 1892. later on along with purple, white was also made official colr of the institue.

The university has got two main campuses, one in Chicago and the other is in Evanston. Both campuses further hold schools and colleges. The university has got a number of its colleges ranked in the top 100 institues of US. Northwestern University itself is considred to be part of the big ten universities in the American west. The institue has got students from all around the world and is one of the most popular and well respected institues in Chicago.
